Boden are a unique force in British catalogue retailing. Selling smart, well made clothes, their catalogues are classy, well shot and clear, using wholesome, non-intimidating models many of whom are friends of owner Jonnie Boden. Copy is funny and quirky, including such trivia as the models preferences for films or food.
They certainly must be doing something right as they have recently seen profits soar by more than 20% to £27.4m on the back of sales of £153.6m. They have also recently expanded into the US and German markets and now include baby wear and children's wear under their Mini Boden brand.
With ever expanding markets and production headaches, the catalogue department have decided to use the Matrix CMS to help streamline the process of catalogue creation. The system will help deal with multiple languages, creative copy, re-pagination and page make up, along with managing all the digital assets being used in page production.
