After having been one of Pindar's first CMS customers Spicers have decided to switch to using the Matrix CMS instead of upgrading to Pindar's new Agility product.

Spicers are the largest suppliers of office products in the UK and Ireland. They produce a wide range of office product catalogues, including the industry's largest, "The Big Book", with over 16,000 products available. Spicers were pioneers in the use of catalogue management systems and have become the benchmark for progressive best practice so we see it as a great compliment that they see Matrix CMS as the best route forward for their future business plans.

Spicers invested a lot of time comparing market leading solutions to ensure that they chose the ideal solution to produce all of their publications, before opting for the Matrix CMS. Spicers and Matrix then worked hand in hand to achieve the ultimate catalogue solution for stationery catalogues.

"We chose Matrix for its ease of use, flexibility, speed to market of developments and superior functionality, at a competitive cost" said Ralph Howard, Spicers Publications Manager, "Matrix have an instinctive knowledge of users requirements and with their experience in various workflows add value by suggesting even further improvements to your own ideas. We also felt much more involved in the future development, with our ideas being considered in a very positive way. We were very impressed by Matrix's ability to deliver new functionality speedily in response to the ever changing requirement of our customers and the way that we could work with our customers and suppliers using the same core data. This allows a full digital workflow and remote working, cutting costs and time".

The move away from working with multiple systems to a single seamless solution has allowed Spicers to really move forward. Plus with the new Matrix 2.0 web interface they're hoping to lure prospective clients away from their competitors by offering them the ability to custom design their catalogues through a browser.
