The Users section of the Retrieva preferences window is split into three vertical sections. The center section is concerned with administering users.
Here you will find the controls for importing and exporting users.
For security reasons, Retrieva stores the user list in the application itself. This means that before using a new version of Retrieva you must export your user list so that you can import it into the new version - otherwise all your user settings will be lost!
To export the list of Retrieva users click the Export Users button. You will be asked to choose a name and location for the users backup file and then Retrieva will backup the users list in the location you specified.
The exported user list file contains details of all the Retrieva users and their access privileges, but for security reasons users passwords are not stored in the file. When you re-import the list of users into Retrieva all users will be set to have a blank password.
