All of the information stored against a file is searchable within Retrieva. The fields search also allows you to build complex multiple criteria searches simply using drop-down lists.

The first drop-down list on each line allows you to choose the field you wish to search. These fields are grouped for added simplicity.

The second drop-down list allows you to specify the comparison you wish to make, e.g. is equal to, contains, starts with, etc. There are fifteen of these options to cover all possibilities.

Then there is a box to enter the word or number you want to search for and a final drop-down list for multiple line searches for you to choose whether you want the search to be inclusive or exclusive, i.e. choose 'and' if you want the criteria of both lines to be met or 'or' if you want the results for either line.

Search criteria can be saved as a text file by clicking the 'Save' button. The 'Load' button allows you to load previously saved search criteria. This allows you to build complex queries and
