Retrieva can display 3D models in some of the most popular file formats. Currently these include 3D Studio and Autocad DXF, although support for more formats may be integrated into Retrieva soon.
When viewing a 3D model in Media View mode, you can interact with the model using the mouse.
By clicking on the model and dragging with the mouse you can rotate the model in any direction. It's easiest to learn to use if you imagine the model is inside an invisible ball, and dragging the ball moves the object inside it. By clicking outside this imaginary ball - in the corners of the Media View - you can spin the model around the horizontal z-axis (front to back).
Holding down the Command Key while dragging the model left and right moves it along the x and y axis respectively, and holding Shift and Command lets you move the model in and out of the screen along the z-axis.
Option dragging the model will change the distance from the model to the 'camera' - you can think of this as a 'zoom' function.
To get started viewing 3D models, double click a model in your media catalogue to load it into Retrieva's Media View, and read more in the following sections.
