Clicking the Filter button in the Media View window brings up the filter window in which you can apply QuickTime filters to your images.

The filter window contains a preview of the image so that you can see the results of applying a filter before applying it.

By pressing the Save button in the filter dialog the filter settings can be saved as a .qfx file for re-use with other images.
